1. I love this acupuncture mat and use it daily to help me unwind or when my back is aching. It takes a little getting used to since it can feel uncomfortable at first. But once you use it regularly, you become accustomed to the sensation and really begin to notice the benefits. I always feel relaxed and less tense after using it for 15-20 min.
2. Anyone who knows me well knows how much of a fan I am of transdermal magnesium, or magnesium oil. It has innumerable health benefits. It’s really simple to make yourself and is so much more effective than taking any kind of oral magnesium. Once you buy a jar of magnesium chloride flakes, you can make tons of magnesium oil for pennies to the gallon. You can then spray it on your skin before bed and even throughout the day as needed.
3. A weighted blanket is something that has really helped support my sleep. I always find that I fall asleep faster and get a deeper sleep when I use it. I’ve had mine for a few years now and really notice a difference in the quality of my sleep when I don’t use it. There are usually varying weight options, but I personally bought the heaviest one because I like the feeling of extra pressure on me when I sleep. It really does feel like you are wrapped in a cozy cocoon all night long, or like someone is giving you a hug for 8+ hours.
4. This yoga inversion bench is a great way to practice inversions which have many physical and mental benefits. The bench can also be used to practice various other asana poses, and can benefit both beginner and advanced yogis.
6. Shilajit is another unique yet powerful substance used in ayurvedic medicine, known for its numerous health benefits. It has adaptogentic and antioxidant properties. It also promotes cognitive function and sustains energy levels. It is crucial to source high quality shilajit from reputable suppliers to ensure efficacy. I find that the resin is infinitely better than the capsules. I’ve been using this one lately and always notice improvements in my overall health when I am consistent with taking it.
7. I love essential oils (I have a whole category on my blog about them!) and use them daily to support my physical and mental health. This blend can be used for meditation and during other introspective practices. It is handcrafted from the sweetest little apothecary.
8. I dry brush a couple times a week before I shower and always feel so invigorated after doing it. Dry brushing is derived from ayurveda and is designed to remove ama (toxins), thereby making it very beneficial for the lymphatic system. It also helps to exfoliate the skin, leaving it feeling soft and smooth.
9. My berkey water filter is one of the best investments I've made for my health. I’ve had mine for a few years now and use it daily. It’s a great water filter that removes heavy metals and other toxins from tap water. There are different sizes to choose from, but I have the “royal” size. Properly filtered water is so important for your health!
10. I love using this water distiller whenever I want distilled water or when I need to make transdermal magnesium, which I prefer making with distilled water. It can take a little while to make, so I like to prepare the machine and turn it on before bed. That way, I can wake up to a pot full of freshly distilled water.
11. Manduka yoga mats really do live up to the hype. They are SO worth the price. I cycled through plenty of cheaper yoga mats before I eventually bit the bullet and bought a Manduka. Once you buy one, it will truly last a lifetime and you will never need another yoga mat. I have the Manduka PRO, which is the thickest and sturdiest.
1. This yoga bench is such a wonderful and versatile tool for so many different spiritual wellness practices. I find myself using it for pranayama (breathwork), meditation, giving a sound bath, or whenever I am in some form of a contemplative practice. It helps take pressure off the legs from sitting in vajrasana for too long, and places you in an overall very comfortable sitting position.
2. “A New Earth” is one of my all time favorite spiritual books (and I’ve read TONS!). I highly recommend it for everyone on a spiritual path, or anyone looking to better understand themselves and their place in this world. It is a phenomenal resource for spiritual growth. If it doesn't fully resonate with you at first, reread it again at a later time. It just may eventually “click.” This book had a big impact on my life as a new college graduate.
3. I came across the work of Bruce Lipton a few years into my spiritual journey, and was instantly hooked on his books and teachings. “The Biology of Belief” primarily discusses the subconscious mind and its impact on our day to day life. The book explores the intersection of biology, psychology, and spirituality.
4. I love me some Wayne Dyer. His books have been an invaluable component to my spiritual and Self development journey. “Your Erroneous Zones” is a book about negative thinking- why so many of us are prone to it and how we can break free from it.
5. “Ancient Soul Gardens” is your go to resource for all things spirituality. With an array of courses and programs, it allows you to foster a supportive community alongside other spiritual seekers. This link gives you access to resources like “The Portal,” “Intuitive Academy,” and “Dharmic Healer Mastery.”
